Tilly Bagshawe is a critically acclaimed English novelist, born on June 12, 1973, in Lambeth Hospital in London, England. She was born to Nicholas Wilfrid Bagshawe and Daphne Margaret nee Triggs and had a brother, James, and two sisters, Louise Bagshawe and Alice. Bagshawe's family has a long and renowned history, with members spanning across a wide range of professions, including catholic gentry, artists, stockbrokers, begbrokers, and even co-founders of the famous Westminster Cathedral. Interestingly, her elder sister, Louise Bagshawe Mensch, is also a Chick-Lit author and a former conservative member of parliament.
Tilly Bagshawe, who also goes by the pen name Tilly Bagshawe, attended local all-girls Catholic schools near her family home in Surrey. At the young age of 17, she became a single mother, but that did not stop her from pursuing higher education. Bagshawe won a place at Cambridge University and took her ten-month-old baby daughter with her. After completing her education, she embarked on a successful career in London as a journalist, contributing regularly to The Sunday Times, Daily Mail, and Evening Standard. Eventually, she turned her hand to novels and published her first book, Adored as Tilly Bagshawe, in 2005, which became a smash hit on both sides of the Atlantic.
Bagshawe is married to US businessman Robin Nydes, and the couple has two sons, Zac and Theo. The family divides their time between their homes in London and Los Angeles. In addition to her successful writing career, Bagshawe is also the sister of the writer and politician Louise Bagshawe. With over twenty bestselling books under her belt, Bagshawe continues to captivate audiences with her gripping chick-lit and suspense novels. Her latest saga, The Secrets of Sainte Madeleine, is set in France, where she went to school for a period as a child.
