Tim Baker is an American author, who was born and raised in Warwick, Rhode Island. He has had a varied career path, having worked in architecture and engineering, the natural gas industry, construction, and even ice cream sales. Apart from his professional pursuits, Baker has always been interested in a wide range of activities, including sports, music, photography, model building, and writing. He is also an avid dog lover and has been a volunteer puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
Baker's writing journey began in earnest in 1988 when he started writing a novel titled "Full Circle," a story inspired by his interest in Karma and the unexplained forces of the universe. However, due to the difficulties of constructing a novel by hand, he had to shelve the project. It was only much later, in 2010, that he published his first book, "Living the Dream." The idea for this book had been with him since 1988, and it was only after he had acquired a computer that he was able to bring it to fruition. "Full Circle" was eventually published in 2015, after he had gained some experience and confidence in his writing abilities.
Baker is known for his mystery and crime novels, which are characterized by their fast pace, suspenseful narratives, and well-developed characters. His writing style is such that he is able to hook his readers in from the very first page, never sacrificing character or narrative along the way. He has published six novels so far, all of which are fast-paced, off-beat crime stories set in Flagler Beach and St. Augustine, Florida. His work is a testament to his ability to create engaging stories that keep his readers on the edge of their seats.
