Tim Sullivan

Tim Sullivan is a successful screenwriter and novelist, best known for his crime novels featuring the eccentric and socially-awkward DS George Cross. Sullivan originally studied English and Law at university, but he ultimately pursued his passion for filmmaking instead. His writing credits include several successful films such as "A Handful of Dust," "Where Angels Fear to Tread," "Jack and Sarah," and "Letters to Juliet." He has also worked as a television director for shows like "Sherlock Holmes," "Cold Feet," and "Coronation Street."\nSullivan has written extensively in Hollywood, working with renowned directors and producers such as Ron Howard, Scott Rudin, and Jeffrey Katzenberg. He has written both live-action and animation, contributing to the fourth "Shrek" movie. Recently, he has also co-produced and written a "My Little Pony" movie for Hasbro.

Sullivan's foray into novel-writing began with the creation of the DS George Cross series. The first two books were self-published and quickly gained popularity, with over 200,000 downloads. This success led to the attention of Head of Zeus publishers, who published the following books in the series. The novels are set in Bristol, England, and feature Cross's unique and sometimes infuriating methods that have earned him the nickname "a thorn in my side" from his boss DCI Carson. Despite this, Cross's conviction rate is the best in the force, thanks to his dogged persistence and attention to detail. The fourth book in the series, "The Patient," was published on March 3rd, 2022.

Sullivan currently resides in North London with his wife Rachel, an Emmy award-winning producer of "The Barefoot Contessa" and "Pioneer Woman." Their daughters live nearby. For more information about Tim Sullivan, visitors can check out his website at timsullivan.co.uk.
