Tim Vicary

Tim Vicary is a British author known for his legal thrillers and historical novels. His Sarah Newby series, featuring a tenacious British barrister, has drawn comparisons to works by John Grisham and Scott Turow. The series includes "A Game of Proof," "A Fatal Verdict" (a B.R.A.G Medallion recipient), "Bold Counsel" (awarded the Awesome Indies Seal of Excellence), and the forthcoming "Broken Alibi." His historical fiction has also garnered acclaim, particularly "Nobody's Slave," which won first prize in the young adult category of the 2014 Kindle Book Awards. Other notable historical works include "Cat & Mouse," "The Blood Upon the Rose," and "The Monmouth Summer," available collectively as the "Women of Courage" boxed set.

A recently retired University of York lecturer, Vicary has authored approximately twenty graded English-language readers for Oxford University Press. Two of these—"Titanic" and "The Everest Story"—received Language Learner Literature Awards from the Extensive Reading Foundation in 2010 and 2011. Residing near York, he balances writing with outdoor pursuits such as horseback riding, cycling, and swimming. His dual focus on gripping legal narratives and meticulously researched historical fiction reflects his versatility as a storyteller.
