Tina Kashian is an American author, most notably known for her Kebab and Kitchen Mystery book series. Born and raised in New Jersey Shore, Kashian spent her childhood summers building sandcastles, boogie boarding, and riding the boardwalk Ferris wheel. She also had an early introduction to the restaurant business, as her Armenian parents owned a restaurant in New Jersey Shore for over 35 years. These experiences exposed Kashian to the inner workings of the food industry and helped shape her culinary-themed mystery series.
After completing her high school education, Kashian worked various jobs in the restaurant, including wiping tables and waitressing. She later went on to earn a college degree and pursued careers as a patent attorney, Deputy Attorney General in New Jersey, and a mechanical engineer. However, Kashian's love for reading fiction, which helped her get through her high school and college education, inspired her to try her hand at writing. The numerous law cases she handled also sparked her interest in mysteries, leading her to become addicted to the genre.
Kashian's Kebab Kitchen Cozy Mystery series launched with Hummus and Homicide in 2018, followed by Stabbed in the Baklava and One Feta in the Grave. She still resides in New Jersey with her supportive husband and two young daughters. In addition to her cozy mystery series, Kashian also writes under the pseudonym Tina Gabrielle as an Amazon best-selling historical romance author.
