Tina Whittle is an accomplished American author, best known for her series of mysteries, most notably the Tai Randolph mystery series. Whittle's short stories have been featured in various publications such as Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine, The Savannah Literary Journal, and Gulf Stream, where her story "Lost Causes and Other Reasons to Live" was the winner of the 2004 Mystery Fiction contest.
Born in Georgia, Whittle is a two-time Georgia Author of the Year Award nominee and is a member of several mystery-writing organizations, including Sisters in Crime Atlanta Chapter and Low Country Sisters in Crime in Savannah. In addition to her writing, Whittle is also a tarot card reader and enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, daughter, two bossy chickens, and a neurotic Maltese.
Whittle's Tai Randolph/Trey Seaver series has received critical acclaim, with starred reviews in Kirkus, Publisher’s Weekly, Booklist, and Library Journal. The series, published by Poisoned Pen Press, features Tai Randolph, an intrepid gunshop owner, and her corporate security agent partner Trey Seaver. The series debuted with "The Dangerous Edge of Things" and includes "Darker Than Any Shadow," "Blood, Ash and Bone," "Deeper Than the Grave," and "Reckoning and Ruin." The sixth book in the series, "Necessary Ends," was released in April 2018.
