Tobias Wolff is an acclaimed American author renowned for his memoirs, short stories, and novels. His seminal memoir, "This Boy’s Life," published in 1988, offers a poignant exploration of his turbulent childhood, while his 1994 work, "Pharaoh’s Army," further cemented his reputation as a master of autobiographical narrative. Wolff’s 1984 novel, "The Barracks Thief," earned critical praise and won the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. In recognition of his contributions to literature, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 2015.
