Tom Corcoran is an American author, known for his mystery novels and non-fiction books. He has lived in Florida since 1970 and has held a variety of jobs throughout his life. Before becoming an author, Corcoran worked as a disc jockey, bartender, travel counselor, navy officer, screenwriter, freelance photographer, magazine editor, computer graphic artist, and journalist. He has written multiple books on muscle cars and has also written a book on his personal friend, Jimmy Buffett.
Corcoran has had a diverse career, with experiences that have informed his writing. He has provided album covers for Jimmy Buffett and co-written songs with him, including 'Fins' and 'Cuban Crime of Passion.' Corcoran has also co-written songs with John Frinzi for some of his albums.
