Tom Ryan

Tom Ryan is an award-winning author who has made a name for himself in children's and young adult literature. He was born and raised in Inverness, Nova Scotia, where he developed a love for storytelling from a young age. Ryan is best known for his gripping and thought-provoking young adult mysteries, Keep This to Yourself and I Hope You're Listening, both of which have received critical acclaim.

Ryan's work has been recognized with numerous awards and nominations, including the ITW Thriller Award for Best YA Thriller, the Arthur Ellis Award for Best YA Crime Book, and the Ann Connor Brimer Award. In addition to his success in writing, Ryan has also worked as a screenwriter and producer. He is a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ representation in literature and has been named a Lambda Literary Fellow in Young Adult Fiction.

Ryan currently lives in Nova Scotia with his husband and their beloved dog. He has written several books for young readers, many of which have been nominated for prestigious awards such as the White Pine Award, the Stellar Award, and the Hackmatack Award. Two of his young adult novels, Way to Go and Tag Along, were chosen for the ALA Rainbow List in 2013 and 2014. Despite his success, Ryan remains humble and dedicated to creating meaningful and impactful stories for young readers.
