Tom Sweterlitsch

Tom Sweterlitsch is an American author known for his science fiction novels. Born in Iowa in 1977, he moved to Ohio as a child and went on to attend Carnegie Mellon, where he earned a Master's Degree in literary and cultural theory. Sweterlitsch worked at the Carnegie Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped for over a decade.

Sweterlitsch made his debut as a novelist in 2014 with the publication of "Tomorrow and Tomorrow," a science fiction novel that garnered widespread acclaim. The book's success led to the announcement of a movie adaptation, which is set to be directed by Matt Ross. The novel follows a man who investigates his family's death in a virtual reality world after a strange explosion wipes out his entire town.

In 2018, Sweterlitsch released his second novel, "The Gone World," which has also been slated for a movie adaptation. Directed by Neill Blomkamp, the film is expected to be a faithful adaptation of Sweterlitsch's sci-fi thriller. Sweterlitsch currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with his wife and daughter.
