Tommy Butler is an author and screenwriter whose debut novel, "Before You Go," was published by HarperCollins in the U.S. in August 2020 and later released in China in November of the same year. His feature screenplay, "Etopia," earned acclaim as the winner of Showtime's Tony Cox Screenplay Competition at the Nantucket Film Festival. Raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Butler has lived in various locations, including New Hampshire, San Diego, Boston, New York City, and San Francisco. He holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School, reflecting a strong academic background. His literary pursuits were further honed as a Peter Taylor Fellow at the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop and as an alumnus of the Screenwriters Colony (now Almanack Screenwriters).
