Tracey S. Phillips

Tracey S. Phillips is an award-winning author known for her psychological thrillers and romantic suspense. Her debut novel, "Best Kept Secrets," published by Crooked Lane Books in 2019, won the Hugh Holton Award in 2018. The novel garnered praise for its intimate portrayal of a psychopathic mindset and its authentic protagonist. Phillips also writes romantic thrillers under the pen name Karissa Knight and founded Blackbird Writers, a collective of mystery authors, in 2020.

Phillips' writing career reflects her versatility, spanning genres and creative pursuits. Her unpublished sequel manuscript, "Mother of Secrets," was a finalist for the Clayton Award for best unpublished detective novel in 2022. Additionally, her short story "On Angel Wings" appeared in "LitBop Vol. 1, issue #2." A multi-talented artist, she has played piano since childhood, studied at Berklee College of Music, and enjoys gardening and drawing. Phillips resides in Wisconsin with her husband and two dogs, embracing life as an empty nester.
