Tracy Weber is a successful American author, best known for her cozy mystery novels, specifically the Downward Dog Mysteries series. Weber, who earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, later realized her preference for working with people over machines. She returned to the University of Washington to acquire a Masters of Business Administrator and worked as an organizational consultant for several years before becoming a group manager at Microsoft. However, her true passion lay elsewhere. Weber has always been an avid reader of mysteries, and one day, she had an idea for a story featuring Kate and Bella, which marked the beginning of her writing journey.
Weber is not only a talented author but also a certified yoga instructor and the founder of an award-winning yoga studio, Whole Life Yoga, in Seattle, Washington. Her love for yoga, dogs, and murder mysteries is evident in her writing, which she uses to express her passions. Weber's Downward Dog Mysteries series features yoga teacher Kate Davidson and her feisty German shepherd, Bella. Her first book, Murder Strikes a Pose, won the Maxwell Award for Fiction and was a 2015 Agatha award nominee for Best First Novel. The third book in her series, Karma's a Killer, was released in January 2015, and the fourth book, A Fatal Twist, was released in January 2017. Weber currently resides in Seattle with her husband and their German shepherd puppy, Ana. In her free time, she enjoys teaching yoga, walking Ana, and sipping Blackthorn cider at her favorite ale house.
