Tricia Rayburn is an author known for her young adult and middle-grade fiction. Her debut novel, "The Melting of Maggie Bean," was published by Simon & Schuster as part of the M!X line for tweens and later expanded into a series with "Maggie Bean Stays Afloat" and "Maggie Bean in Love." She also wrote "Ruby's Slippers" and the paranormal young adult novel "Siren," released in July 2010.
Rayburn's passion for writing emerged during graduate school while studying children's literature. What began as a class assignment evolved into her thesis and eventually her first published novel. Her early love for series like "The Baby-Sitter's Club" and "Sweet Valley Twins" influenced her transition into writing for tweens and teens.
A Long Island resident, Rayburn lives with her fiancé and their shih tzu. Though she strives for healthy habits, she admits to an occasional weakness for Reese's Pieces. Her works continue to resonate with young readers, blending relatable themes with engaging storytelling.
