Vicki Bradley

Vicki Bradley is a British crime writer and detective constable in the Metropolitan Police Service. Her debut psychological thriller, "Before I Say I Do," launched the DC Alana Loxton series and won the Write Here Right Now competition in 2018. The novel, which follows a bride investigating her groom's disappearance on their wedding day, was also shortlisted for the First Novel Prize and the Virago New Crime Writer competition. Its sequel, "Your Life or Mine," continues DC Loxton's story as she becomes the target of a serial killer.

Drawing from her extensive police experience, Bradley brings authenticity to her crime fiction. She has served as a uniformed response driver, managed High-Risk Sex Offenders, worked in CID, and contributed to the Serious Organised Crime Command. Currently on a five-year career break from policing, she focuses on writing novels that offer realistic insights into investigative procedures. Bradley is developing the third installment in her DC Loxton series, exploring themes of identity and familial bonds.

Beyond writing, Bradley enjoys traveling and mountain climbing. She resides in London with her husband and their two young children. Her background in law enforcement continues to shape her gripping narratives, blending professional expertise with compelling psychological suspense.
