Victoria Jenkins is a Welsh author who has gained recognition for her popular Detective King and Lane series of novels. The first novel in the series, "The Girls In The Water," was published in 2017 and quickly gained critical acclaim and popularity among crime fiction fans. The series features Detective Constable Chloe Lane and Detective Inspector Alex King, who investigate mysterious murders in their hometown.
Jenkins' love for writing began at a young age, as she won her first literary prize at the age of ten for a co-written book with her father titled "The Giraffe who Sneezed." This early success fueled her passion for writing, and she went on to study Creative and Media Writing at the University of Wales, Swansea.
In addition to her Detective King and Lane series, Jenkins has also written eight standalone psychological thrillers, with her latest book, "Happily Married," set to be released on May 11, 2021. She currently resides in South Wales with her husband and daughters, where she draws inspiration for her crime novels. When she's not writing, Jenkins enjoys playing scrabble, running marathons, and decorating cakes.
