Virgil Alexander

Virgil Alexander was born and raised in rural Gila County near Miami, Arizona. Growing up, he spent most of his free time exploring the hills and experiencing historic sites with his siblings and friends. His family had horses and raised livestock, which allowed him to learn horsemanship and develop a deep appreciation for nature. Additionally, his uncles and father were involved in law enforcement, which exposed him to the field at a young age.

Alexander's love for reading and adventure led him to study engineering in college, but his career eventually took a different direction. He worked for a large copper mine for several years, and his job took him on extended business trips to various parts of the world, including North and South America, Europe, and Canada. Throughout his career, he continued to expand his education and eventually held a Control Engineering Certification and a bachelor's degree in Business Management.

In his retirement, Alexander has focused on his passion for writing. He has written a history of ranching in Gila County and has completed his first mystery novel, "The Wham Curse." His writing is influenced by his intimate knowledge of rural and small-town culture, his exposure to rural law enforcement, and his deep appreciation for Arizona history. Alexander continues to reside in Arizona with his wife.

In summary, Virgil Alexander is a retired mining professional with a passion for writing, particularly mystery novels. Growing up in rural Arizona, he developed a deep love for reading, adventure, and the outdoors. His career in mining took him on extensive business trips around the world, and he continued to expand his education throughout his career. Today, he draws on his knowledge of rural and small-town culture, Arizona history, and law enforcement to inform his writing.
