W.B.J. Martin

Wren Martin is a UK-based author known for his exploration of contemporary fantasy, paranormal romance, and nonfiction astronomy articles. He gained recognition for his debut novel, "Burning the Darkness," a queer paranormal romance following Oren, a light magic user turned vampire, and his complex bond with Julian, heir to the vampire court. Under the pen name W.B.J. Martin, he co-authored "The Mechanics of Magic," a multi-perspective fantasy novel written with his partner, which follows a fallen prince's quest to rescue his son while uncovering family secrets.

Martin's writing is deeply influenced by his personal experiences as an autistic, transgender, gay, and demisexual individual. His works frequently center themes of identity, acceptance, and love in unexpected circumstances, often featuring neurodivergent characters. Alongside his fiction, he contributes astronomy articles to his local parish magazine. He lives in the UK with his partner, their two children, and a springer spaniel.
