W.L. Liberman

W.L. Liberman is an accomplished author with a diverse body of work spanning novels, graphic novels, and children's literature. He has published seven novels, including "Dead Fish Jumping on the Road," "Looking for Henry Turner," "The Global View," and "Das Vidaniya," as well as the graphic novels "The Shadowed Road" and "The Ruptured Sky." His children's book, "Ezra and the Lion Cub," showcases his versatility across genres. Liberman also authored "Shattered Ground," a graphic novel exploring the First World War through the perspectives of young enlistees, and co-created a series of teen adventure books based on the television show "Get Outta Town!"

With a career spanning over three decades, Liberman has demonstrated a commitment to storytelling across multiple mediums. He is the founding editor and publisher of TEACH Magazine, established in 1992, and has worked as a television producer and on-air commentator. His writing often reflects his interest in historical events, adventure, and human resilience, as seen in works like "Shattered Ground" and "80 Degrees North." Liberman holds an Honours BA from the University of Toronto and an MA in Creative Writing from De Montfort University in the UK.

Beyond his literary achievements, Liberman has contributed to educational media, co-producing the teen travel show "Get Outta Town!" which aired on TVOntario and other networks. His graphic novels and children's books often blend visual storytelling with historical or adventurous themes. Liberman resides in Toronto with his family and continues to write across genres, maintaining a focus on compelling narratives rooted in both fiction and historical exploration.
