Wendy Corsi Staub

Wendy Corsi Staub is a bestselling American author, well-known for her psychological suspense novels and young adult novels. She also writes women's fiction under the pseudonym Wendy Markham. Originally from a rural area in southwestern New York, Wendy had always known that she wanted to be a writer. After working for a couple of bookstores during her college years, she moved to New York City at the age of 21 to pursue her dream. Currently, she resides outside New York City with her husband and two children.

Wendy has written over ninety novels, with many of them becoming bestsellers. Her works have been translated into various languages, making it possible for her stories to reach readers all over the world. She is best known for her New York Times bestselling night watcher series, which was concluded in 2012. Wendy's writing career spans various genres, including horror, historical, romance, and TV/movie tie-ins.

Wendy has received numerous accolades for her work, including being a three-time finalist for the Simon and Schuster Mary Higgins Clark Award. She has also won an RWA Rita Award, an RT Award for Career Achievement in Suspense, the 2007 RWA-NYC Golden Apple Award for Lifetime Achievement, and five WLA Washington Irving Prizes for Fiction. Her novel "Hello, It's Me" was adapted into a Hallmark television movie starring Kellie Martin.

Wendy is an active supporter of several causes, including the American Cancer Society, Planned Parenthood, and various animal rescue organizations. She has fostered for these organizations and currently has three rescue cats. Wendy is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia and began her publishing career in New York City as an Associate Editor at Silhouette Books before selling her first novel in 1992.
