Wendy Mass

Wendy Mass is a highly acclaimed author, with eighteen novels to her name, many of which have been nominated for state book awards and translated into twenty different languages. She has achieved significant success in the genre of young-adult fiction and children's books. Mass gained substantial recognition with her book "A Mango-Shaped Space," which not only became a New York Times bestseller but also won her the Schneider Family Book Award by the American Library Association for Middle School in 2004.

In addition to her work as an author, Mass has also contributed to television, writing the storyline for an episode of the series "Monk." She has a playful side, claiming her hobbies are hiking and photography, while in reality, she enjoys collecting candy bar wrappers and searching for buried treasure with her metal detector.
