Wes DeMott is an American author, known for his political thrillers. He has had a varied career, having worked as a private investigator, FBI agent, actor, and serving in the U.S. Navy. DeMott is also an adventurer and has traveled the world, often alone, but now accompanied by his wife.
DeMott's love for adventure began when he was 19 and he escaped over an international border during a police chase in Mexico. Since then, he has been jumping borders, often with a legal visa, but sometimes with a black market one, or no cover-of-authority at all. He has jumped for governments and security clients, but mostly out of his own lust for adventure. DeMott's wife, a war-zone veteran who is fluent in several languages and can drive just about anything with wheels, now accompanies him on his adventures.
In addition to his career as an adventurer, DeMott is also an award-winning and international bestselling novelist. He writes political thrillers and his novels are based on his personal experiences and knowledge. DeMott does not write stories about outer space or werewolves as he is not familiar with either one. He has recently released six of his novels as e-books and is currently working on the second Mayday Salvage and Rescue novel in the series.
DeMott's writing has evolved over the years, and he has written out his demons, which has brought him to a place where he can write fun adventure stories. His protagonist, Taz Keaton, is the main character in the Mayday Salvage and Rescue series, and the dialogue is fun, with explosive action presented in a more lighthearted way. Fans of DeMott's writing have noticed an interesting evolution in his work, and the Mayday series is a reflection of this evolution.
