Weston Ochse

Weston Ochse is an accomplished American author, born in Gillette, Wyoming in 1965. He grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and after graduating from Tyner High School, he joined the Army, becoming an intelligence officer before being honorably discharged in 2004. Ochse's writing career began in 1997, and he has since written numerous novels, short stories, and comics in the genres of horror, science fiction, and fantasy. He is best known for his SEAL Team 666 series and his military supernatural and sci-fi novels.

Ochse's work has been highly praised by critics and fellow authors alike. The American Library Association has named him "one of the major horror authors of the 21st Century," and his writing has won the Bram Stoker Award, been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and won multiple New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards. His books have been characterized by scholars as providing a "perfect description of why it is not possible for soldiers to ever return to civilian life." In addition to his original work, Ochse has contributed to several popular franchises, including The X-Files, Predator, Aliens, Hellboy, and V-Wars.

Ochse holds a B.A. in Copy Writing from Excelsior College and a Master's in Creative Writing from National University-California. He is currently a faculty member in the graduate program at Southern New Hampshire University. Ochse is a proud veteran, having served in the Army for a combined 37 years, including multiple deployments to Afghanistan. He lives in Arizona with his wife, fellow author Yvonne Navarro, and their many animals. He is always open to discussing his experiences and is passionate about talking to other veterans and service members about their own experiences.
