Will Hill

Will Hill is a critically acclaimed author and screenwriter who is known for his thrilling novels that combine elements of adventure and horror. Although he currently resides in California, he spent a significant portion of his childhood in the North East of England, moving from Skegness to Gateshead and eventually Tynemouth. This area is rich in vampire mythology, which sparked Hill's fascination at a young age and inspired him to write his highly accomplished debut novel.

Before becoming a full-time writer, Hill worked in a variety of jobs, including as a bartender, bookseller, and door-to-door charity worker. He also spent several years working in publishing before deciding to pursue his passion for writing. Hill is an avid cat lover and currently lives in east London with his girlfriend and two feline companions.

Hill's debut novel, Department 19, was the first in a five-book series that became a bestseller in the UK and was translated into over a dozen languages. His latest novel, After The Fire, has received widespread critical acclaim, including a starred review from Kirkus. The novel won the 2018 YA Book Prize, was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal, and was selected for the Zoella Book Club. Hill's ability to create thrilling and engaging stories has earned him a devoted following among readers of all ages.
