William Boyle

William Boyle is an accomplished American author, best known for his crime fiction novels. He has written a number of successful standalone novels that have been well-received for their gritty realism and keen ear for dialect. Some of his most popular works include "Gravesend," "Death Don't Have No Mercy," and "The Lonely Witness." Boyle's debut novel, "Gravesend," was released as the number 1,000 story in the Rivages/Noir collection in France and was shortlisted for the 2017 Prix Polar S.N.C.F. It has also been translated into several languages and received a nomination for the Grand Prix Literature Policiere.

Boyle was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and currently resides in Oxford, Mississippi. In addition to his novels, he has also written a number of short stories, many of which have been published in France. His latest novel, "Lonely Witness," was published by Pegasus Crime and was released in 2018. Pegasus Crime has also acquired the rights to reissue "Gravesend," which is expected to be published later in the year. Boyle's most recent novel is "A Friend Is a Gift You Give Yourself," which was released in 2019. His next novel, "City of Margins," was published in March 2020. Throughout his career, Boyle's work has been nominated for several awards, including the Grand Prix de Littérature Policière, the John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger, and the Hammett Prize.
