Winnie Griggs

Winnie Griggs is an accomplished American author, well-known for her inspirational romance novels. She is the writer of the Texas Grooms series, among other works. Griggs was born and raised in Southeast Louisiana, where she developed her imagination in an undeveloped area that she and her friends considered to be the back of beyond. She spent much of her childhood exploring the overgrown land around her home, building forts and frontier camps, and looking for pirate ships on the nearby bayou with her two younger siblings and their friends. As she grew older, Griggs found an outlet for her adventurous imagination by writing stories.

Griggs now lives in Plain Dealing, Louisiana, with her husband, whom she met over 25 years ago. Together, they have four adult children who share their mother's vivid imagination and father's steadier influences. Griggs' writing is inspired by her love for her community and family, and she shares her stories through her novels published by Love Inspired and Love Inspired Historical books.
