C.C. Hunter grew up in Alabama and was raised with a love for nature, which is reflected in her writing. She spent her childhood catching lightning bugs, running barefoot, and rescuing potential princes in the form of Alabama bullfrogs from her brothers. Today, she still has a fascination with lightning bugs, mostly wears shoes, but has turned her focus to rescuing mammals. She now lives in Texas with her husband, four rescued cats, one dog, and whatever wild creatures that meander out from the woods surrounding her home.
Hunter is dedicated to her craft and takes the time to connect with her readers. She enjoys hearing from her fans and makes an effort to respond to their emails, although it may take her a day or so to get back to them due to deadlines.
