C Hope Clark is a successful mystery author who was born and raised in the American South. She has lived in various states in the region, including Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina, which has provided her with a deep understanding and appreciation for the area and its people. Clark's Southern roots are evident in her writing, particularly in the Caroline Slade Mystery series, where the protagonist shares many similarities with the author's own life.\n \n Clark holds a B.S. in Agriculture with honors from Clemson University and has over 25 years of experience working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
