C.J. Carmichael

CJ Carmichael is a highly acclaimed author, with over 45 titles to her name in the mystery and romance genres. She has received two nominations for the prestigious RITA Romance Writers Award, as well as the Bestseller’s Best Honor and the Romantic Suspense award. Prior to her successful writing career, Carmichael was an accountant, but she left behind the world of double entry bookkeeping and income tax forms when she published her first novel, “Together by Christmas,” with Harlequin Romance in 2002. Since then, she has published more than thirty five novels with Harlequin and several others with Tule Publishing, which has released her popular western romance novels. In addition to her traditionally published works, Carmichael has also self-published several cozy mystery novels.\n \nWhen Carmichael is not writing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and grown-up daughters. The family loves the outdoors and can often be found hiking in the Rocky Mountains near Calgary. They also enjoy spending time at their summer home on Flathead Lake, Montana, which has been a part of their family for many years.

Carmichael has written over 50 novels, including two mystery series, as well as romance and women’s fiction. Three of her novels have been nominated for the Romance Writers of America RITA Award, including “A Bramble House Christmas.” A film version of “A Bramble House Christmas” premiered as a Hallmark Mystery movie in 2017. She is married, with two grown daughters and some adorable grandchildren, and divides her time between her home in Calgary, Alberta and the family cottage on Flathead Lake, Montana. Carmichael enjoys giving workshops to aspiring authors and has a particular talent for teaching the art of writing a Christmas story.
