C.L. Clark is a highly accomplished author, editor, and teacher. Originally from Kansas City, Clark graduated from Indiana University's creative writing Master of Fine Arts program and was a 2012 Lambda Literary Fellow. Clark has had a varied career, working as an English teacher, personal trainer, and editor at different times. Now, she continues to work in these fields as she travels the world.
In addition to her work as an editor and teacher, Clark is an accomplished writer. She is the author of "The Unbroken," the first book in the Magic of the Lost trilogy, which was nominated for a Nebula award. Clark's writing has also appeared in several science fiction and fantasy (SFF) venues, including Tor.com, Uncanny, and Beneath Ceaseless Skies. Furthermore, Clark is a co-editor at PodCastle, a fantasy podcast.
Clark's writing often reflects her interests in language, fitness, and history. She enjoys learning new languages, working out, and reading about war and colonial history in her free time. Clark's unique experiences and diverse skill set have undoubtedly contributed to her success in the writing and editing worlds. With her debut novel "The Unbroken" released in 2021, Clark's career shows no signs of slowing down.
