C.M. Sutter is an American author, best known for her series of crime thriller books, particularly the Detective Jade Monroe series. She was born in San Jose, California, and spent her time growing up between the sunny California coast and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During her senior year of high school, she decided to make Wisconsin her permanent home, where she would live for many years before moving south to a warmer climate year-round.
Before becoming an author, Sutter had a diverse career path, working in large companies, spending twelve years as a massage therapist, and eventually owning a corporation. She has been self-employed for over twenty years. Sutter's interest in crime and thriller novels led her to start writing in the police procedural/crime thriller genre in 2016.
Sutter's flagship series, the Detective Jade Monroe Crime Thriller Series, is centered around the life of Sergeant Jade Monroe, a detective in the sheriff's department of a fictitious Wisconsin town. Jade has a long list of crimes to solve and murderers to apprehend, and she is a tough cop who gets the job done. The series includes five books: Maniacal-Book 1, Captive-Book 2, Fallacy-Book 3, Premonition-Book 4, and Exposed-Book 5.
Following the success of the Jade Monroe series, Sutter introduced two new series in the same Jade Monroe world, the Agent Jade Monroe FBI Thriller Series and the Amber Monroe Crime Thriller Series. She also wrote a series about Jesse McCord, a seasoned Chicago detective, and the Live or Die Series, which sees Jade Monroe return in a new FBI series. Sutter's latest series, the Mitch Cannon Savannah Heat Thriller Series, introduces a new character, homicide detective Mitch Cannon from Savannah, Georgia.
In addition to her writing, Sutter is a world traveler who enjoys visiting relatives scattered across the USA and creating art. She also enjoys gardening, bicycling, and making hand-made soaps in her free time.
