In addition to his literary accomplishments, Lemoine has led an accomplished career in the military. A Louisiana native, he is a graduate of the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans. After completing his education, Lemoine joined the Air Force Reserve where he flew the F-16 and accumulated over one thousand hours of flight time, including a combat tour in Iraq. He later transferred to the Navy Reserve, where he flew F/A-18A+ Hornets.
