Caleb Wygal

Caleb Wygal is an American author best known for his Myrtle Beach Mystery series and the Lucas Caine Adventure novels. His debut mystery, "Death on the Boardwalk," earned critical acclaim, winning the Pinnacle Award for Best Mystery (2021) and praise from Women’s World Magazine. The series continued its success with "Death on the Causeway," which received the Readers' Favorite Gold Medal for Best Amateur Sleuth Mystery (2023). His adventure novels, "Blackbeard’s Lost Treasure" and "The Search for the Fountain of Youth," were both Semi-Finalists in the prestigious Clive Cussler Adventure Awards Competition.

Wygal’s writing spans mystery and adventure genres, often infused with coastal settings and historical intrigue. A member of the International Thriller Writers, Mystery Writers of America, and Southeastern Writers Association, he has also shared his expertise as a Mystery Writing Instructor at Coastal Carolina University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institution. Beyond writing, he enjoys woodworking, beachcombing, and spending time with his family in Myrtle Beach, where he resides with his wife and son. Wygal is currently working on the next installment of his Myrtle Beach Mystery series.
