Carrie Ryan

Carrie Ryan is a New York Times bestselling author, known for her works in mystery, children's fiction, and young adult fantasy. Raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Ryan attended Williams College and later earned her law degree from the School of Law at Duke University. Before becoming a full-time author, she practiced law, but has since left that career behind to focus on her writing.

Ryan has written a number of popular book series, including the Forest of Hands and Teeth series, which features zombies, and the Map To Everywhere series, a clever and fun adventure fantasy for 8-12 year olds that she co-wrote with her husband, John Parke Davis. She has also written standalone novels, such as Daughter of Deep Silence, which involves cold calculated revenge and hidden identities, and Trapper Road, a thriller that is co-written with Rachel Caine. In addition to these works, Ryan has also contributed to multi-author, multi-platform series like 39 Clues and Spirit Animals.
