Cassandra King

Cassandra King is an accomplished author, known for her award-winning novels and her descriptive storytelling. She made her debut as an author in 1995 with the publication of "Making Waves" and has since written several other novels, including "The Sunday Wife," which was a New York Times bestseller. King's writing is known for its strong characters and timely issues, often set in the American South.

In addition to her novels, King has also written numerous essays, magazine articles, short stories, and a nonfiction book. She has been hailed as "the Queen of Southern storytelling" and has received high praise from fellow Southern writers such as Sandra Brown, Fannie Flagg, and Dorothea Benton Frank. King's novel "Moonrise" is a literary homage to Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier and has been described as her "finest book to date."

King was born in Alabama and currently resides in Beaufort, South Carolina with her husband, writer Pat Conroy. She is a dedicated writer who has also taught writing on the college level, conducted corporate writing seminars, and worked as a human-interest reporter for a weekly paper. Aside from writing, King has a passion for cooking and has even published an article on the subject in Cooking Light magazine. She is a respected and prolific author in the world of Southern literature.
