Cat Rambo

Cat Rambo is a highly acclaimed author in the science fiction and fantasy (SF/F) genre. They currently reside and write in the Midwest, and their work has been shortlisted for numerous awards, including the Endeavour Award, Locus Award, World Fantasy Award, and Nebula Award.

Rambo's debut novel, Beasts of Tabat, was published in 2015 by WordFire Press, and they have since published several other books, including Exiles of Tabat and Devil's Gun. In addition to their fiction writing, Rambo is also an accomplished editor and has co-edited notable works such as Ad Astra: The SFWA 50th Anniversary Cookbook. They have worked as the fiction editor for award-winning Fantasy Magazine and have had their stories appear in various publications, including Asimov's, Weird Tales, and Strange Horizons.

Rambo's writing is known for its unique and imaginative storytelling, often taking place in a universe where mythical creatures and surreal elements are woven into contemporary settings. Their work has been described as "urban mythopoeia," blending technical knowledge with a willingness to embrace the unexpected. In addition to their fiction writing, Rambo is also an experienced nonfiction writer and has published a writing book titled "Moving from Idea to Finished Draft" (Plunkett Press).

Rambo is an active member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA), serving as a two-term president and continuing to volunteer with the organization.
