Catherine Bilson

Catherine Bilson is a historical romance and general romance fiction author who has been writing since she was just five years old. Born in North Wales, Bilson grew up in a 14th-century manor house and spent much of her youth creating stories about its past inhabitants. After running off to marry an Australian, she now resides in Queensland with her husband and two sons.

Bilson is best known for her "Blushing Brides" series of novels, as well as for her Austen-inspired variations. Pride and Prejudice, in particular, has been a significant inspiration for her work. Over the years, Bilson has had a number of interesting careers, including engineer, real estate sales agent, owner of an electrical goods store, and silversmith.
