Catherine Cerveny was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. She has had a lifelong passion for writing, having kept several drafts of unfinished stories and abandoned writing ideas in her drawers since she was a child. Despite juggling a day job, school, and family responsibilities, Catherine continued to write her stories and novels. She has a fascination with ghosts, magic, and telepathic dogs, and considers herself a bit of a nerd who is always drawn to the bizarre while trying to fit in with ordinary people. Catherine currently resides in Fraserville, a little further from Peterborough, where she recently published her first novel, "The Rule of Luck," a two-part series book with subsequent stories in the series still to come.
Catherine is a big fan of romance and science fiction and wishes that the two genres would cross paths more often. She had always planned to move away to the big city but the small-town life of Peterborough ultimately won her over, and that's where she still resides today. "The Rule of Luck" is her first novel, which combines elements of romance and science fiction. Catherine's personal experiences, interests, and love for the bizarre have all contributed to her unique storytelling style.
