Catherine Dilts is an American author, best known for her cozy mystery novels. She has a particular fondness for writing the Rock Shop Mysteries series, which incorporates elements of her day job as an environmental regulatory technician. Dilts grew up in Oklahoma but now resides in Colorado with her husband, where she finds inspiration for her writing in the Colorado mountains, fishing, and running.
In addition to her Rock Shop Mysteries series, Dilts has also contributed to the Secrets of the Castleton Manor Library series, a multi-author cozy mystery series. She has had short fiction featured regularly in the Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine and has written for Annie's Fiction, including installments in the Mackinac Island Knitters and Heir of Mystery series. Dilts has also penned the stand-alone novel Survive Or Die with Encircle Publications.
Dilts enjoys a wide variety of activities and interests outside of her writing. She is an avid trail runner, hiker, and fisher, and she also enjoys rock painting, gardening, and arts and crafts. When she is writing, she often listens to music through her sound-canceling headphones. Dilts is also a dedicated traveler, often hitting the road with her husband and their adult children and their families for camping trips and other adventures.
Recently, Dilts has retired from her career as an environmental compliance specialist for a global corporation and is now able to devote herself to writing fiction full-time. She is excited to continue working on her various series and short stories, and she looks forward to sharing her love of cozy mysteries with readers for years to come.
