Catherine Doyle is a young adult, romance, and children's author who has written a number of books, including the best-selling Blood for Blood Trilogy. Doyle was born in Galway, Ireland, and spent her childhood in the West of Ireland. She holds a BA in psychology and an MA in publishing, which has helped her to develop strong storytelling and writing skills. In her spare time, Doyle enjoys running, traveling, and, of course, writing.
Doyle is best known for her Blood for Blood trilogy, which is often described as a blend of Romeo and Juliet and the Godfather. This description perfectly encapsulates the series' intense romance and thrilling crime elements. The trilogy, which includes Vendetta, Inferno, and Mafiosa, was inspired by Doyle's love of modern cinema.
In addition to her Young Adult novels, Doyle has also written a Middle Grade novel, The Storm Keeper's Island. This adventure story is set on the magical island of Arranmore, where her grandparents grew up, and is inspired by her ancestors' real-life daring sea rescues. The sequel, The Lost Tide Warriors, was published in July 2019, with the third book in the series set to follow in March 2021. Doyle has also written a modern re-imagining of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, titled The Miracle on Ebenezer Street, which was published by Puffin books in October 2020. Doyle's ability to write for both young adults and middle grade readers is a testament to her versatility as an author.
