Catherine Maiorisi

Catherine Maiorisi is a writer who discovered her imagination and the joy of writing in New York City, where she currently resides. Writing has become a form of meditation for Maiorisi, and she often writes in Edgar's Cafe, under the watchful eye of Edgar Allan Poe. When she is not writing, she enjoys reading, cooking Italian meals, and spending time with her wife and friends.

Maiorisi is the author of the NYPD Detective Chiara Corelli mystery series, which includes four books: A Matter of Blood, The Blood Runs Cold, A Message in Blood, and Legacy in the Blood. The series features Corelli and her partner, P.J. Parker. Maiorisi never intended to write romance, but when she wrote a short story to create a backstory for the love interest in her two unpublished Corelli mysteries, she found herself writing a romance. The short story, "The Fan Club," was included in the Best Lesbian Romance of 2014.

Maiorisi's first romance novel, Matters of the Heart, was inspired by the voices of two characters, Andrea and Darcy, who chatted in her head every night. She has since written several other romance novels, including No One But You, Ready for Love, and Taking a Chance on Love. In addition to her mystery and romance novels, Maiorisi has written short stories that have been included in various anthologies. She is an active member of Sisters in Crime and Mystery Writers of America and is also a member of The Golden Crown Literary Society. The Disappearance of Lindy James is her first general fiction novel.
