Cathryn Grant

Cathryn Grant is an American author, born in November 1963, who grew up in both New York and Silicon Valley. She is currently a resident of Aptos, California, where she spends her leisure time playing golf. Grant studied history at San Jose State University, pursuing a bachelor's degree. Her professional career began in 1996 at Sega Corporation, where she worked as a security and safety coordinator until 1997.

From 2002 to 2010, Grant held various positions at Sun Microsystems, starting as a senior competitive analyst until 2005. She then moved on to work as a senior market analyst until 2008, followed by a role as a competitive intelligence manager in the same year. Grant's final position at Sun Microsystems was as the company's business planning manager, a role she held until 2010.

As an author, Grant has written over thirty psychological suspense novels, including the acclaimed Alexandra Mallory series. The series features a sociopathic character who is oddly endearing, and readers have described the series as "addictive." Grant's writing focuses on exploring the human psyche's darkest corners, drawing inspiration from real-life issues such as obsession, revenge, guilt, envy, and longing.
