Charity Norman

Charity Norman was born in Uganda and spent her childhood in a series of drafty vicarages located in Birmingham and Yorkshire. After meeting her future husband under a truck in the Sahara desert, she pursued a career as a barrister, specializing in family law and crime in the northeast of England. However, after recognizing that her three children had little familiarity with her due to her demanding work schedule, she decided to relocate her family to New Zealand and began a new career as a writer.

Norman's debut novel, "After the Fall/Second Chances," was a successful title that gained recognition as a Richard & Judy and World Book Night selection. Her subsequent works, including "The New Woman/The Secret Life of Luke Livingstone" and "See You in September," also received critical acclaim, with the latter being shortlisted for the Ngaio Marsh Awards. Additionally, "The Secrets of Strangers" was a Radio 2 choice and was shortlisted for the Ngaio Marsh and Ned Kelly Awards. Her latest novel, "Remember Me," was published in March 2022.

Throughout her writing career, Norman has been inspired by her diverse life experiences, including her upbringing in England and her subsequent move to New Zealand. Her novels often explore complex themes of family dynamics, personal growth, and the challenges of modern life. With her compelling storytelling and authentic characters, Norman has established herself as a respected voice in contemporary literature. Readers can connect with her on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
