Charlotte Hughes is a bestselling author, born in Williamston, South Carolina. She has written numerous comedy and romance novels and has gained considerable recognition for her work. Hughes has penned many well-received books, including her first category romance "Too Many Husbands," which quickly climbed to the top of the Waldenbooks Bestseller list in 1987.
Before the line closed in 1998, Hughes had written almost thirty books, primarily known for her uproarious romantic comedies. However, she expanded her horizons by authoring three Maggie-Award winning thrillers for Avon Books in the late nineties. Afterward, she returned to her first love - humorous stories about people falling in love. Her books, "A New Attitude" and "Hot Shot," gained significant popularity, with the latter winning the Waldenbooks Greatest Sales Growth Achievement in 2003.
Hughes' success led to an invitation to co-author the popular "Full House" series with mega-star author Janet Evanovich. Following this successful collaboration, she created her own series, featuring psychologist Kate Holly, in "What Looks Like Crazy," "Nutcase," and "High Anxiety." These books introduced a cast of quirky but endearing and amusing characters. Currently, Hughes is launching a new series, "Tall, Dark and Bad," starring Summer Pettigrew and bad boy Cooper Garrett, and working on a series set in the Lowcountry.
