Chris Collett

Chris Collett is a celebrated author, hailing from the United Kingdom. She is renowned for her expertise in writing nonfiction, crime fiction, British literature, and mystery novels. Collett is perhaps best known for the success of her mystery series, The DI Mariner book series, which has garnered significant acclaim and popularity. The series features the main character, Tom Mariner, a detective inspector based in Birmingham, England.

Collett was born in Gorleston-on-sea, Norfolk, UK, and spent her earlier years growing up in her hometown. After completing her education, she moved to Liverpool to train as a teacher for children with learning disabilities, including autism. Collett then relocated to Birmingham, where she worked in various schools and services of the local authority. She specialized in working with children with special needs and disabilities, as well as their families. In 1983, Collett got married and moved to Bournville, where she currently resides with her husband and children.

In addition to her writing career, Collett is also involved in community service. She is a published author of short stories and has taught creative and crime writing.
