Chris Dolley is a New York Times bestselling author, known for his works in the fantasy, humor, science fiction, mystery, and thriller genres. He hails from Bournemouth, United Kingdom, and has written numerous mind-blowing books, including the Reeves and Worcester Steampunk Mystery series. His writing career consists of several standalone novels, a few novellas, and one nonfiction books.
Before his writing career, Dolley was a pioneer designer of computer games and a teenage freedom fighter. In 1974, he was given the task of publicizing the Student Rag Week of Plymouth. Instead of arranging an interview with a local newspaper, Dolley decided to invade the neighboring country and create the Free Cornish Army. He then persuaded the media in the UK that Cornwall had declared its independence. This incident was later written up in Punch.
Dolley's career in the computer gaming industry began in 1981 when he created Randomberry Games and wrote Necromancer, one of the first 3D first-person perspective D&D computer games. He also wrote the most aggressive chess program ever seen and invented the most dangerous game ever played, the Giant Wrigley's Spearmint Gum Cliff Top Relay.
