Chris Goff

Chris Goff is an accomplished American author, well-known for her bestselling mystery and thriller novels. She has two successful series to her name, the "Bird Watchers Mystery" series and the "Raisa Jordan" international thriller series. Goff's debut international thriller novel, "Dark Waters," was a critically acclaimed book that introduced Raisa Jordan, a determined intelligence agent working for American interests overseas.

Before turning to fiction, Goff began her writing career in the nonfiction world, working for several national, regional, and local magazines and newspapers in Summit County, Colorado. She later became an editor at Chockstone Press, specializing in editing ice and rock climbing guides, before moving on to Morehouse Publishing Group, where she worked in graphics for "Living the Good News". Goff's passion for writing led her to teach at various workshops at the University of Colorado and the Colorado Free University. She is an active member of several writer guilds and has served in national and regional boards of the International Crime Writers Association and the Mystery Writers of America.

Goff's "Bird Watchers Mystery" series, published in Japan and the UK, won the Colorado Authors League Award and a nomination for two WILLA Literary Awards. The series, which features environmental themes, is currently published by Sharpe Books and has been nominated for several WILLA Literary Awards and a Colorado Authors' League Award. Her international thriller series, which includes "Dark Waters" and "Red Sky," has received critical acclaim, with "Red Sky" being a finalist for a 2018 Colorado Book Award.
