Christine DeSmet is a successful author and screenwriter, currently residing in Madison, Wisconsin. She was born in Illinois and spent her formative years on a farm in Wisconsin. Growing up in a rural setting, DeSmet learned the value and joy of hard work, which has no doubt contributed to her success in the writing industry. She has earned academic degrees in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
DeSmet is an accomplished writer, with achievements in various genres including novels, screenplays, short stories, and plays. She is perhaps best known for her co-creation of the Fudge Shop Mystery series. In addition to her work as a novelist, DeSmet is an award-winning screenplay writer for feature films and novels. She has won the Slamdance Film Festival contest with her scriptwriting partner, and has also optioned several other projects.
