Christine Goff

Christine Goff, who also writes as Chris Goff, is an accomplished author known for her "Bird Watcher Mysteries" and the "Raisa Jordan" international thriller series. Raised in a small mountain community in Evergreen, Colorado, Goff spent much of her youth exploring the outdoors, which has provided much of the inspiration for her writing. Her love for birds began in childhood, thanks to her father who introduced her to a hummingbird on their front lawn.

Goff's talent for writing was recognized early in her career when she began writing for several Summit County, Colorado publications. She soon moved on to editing ice and rock climbing guides for Chockstone Press and designing graphics for "Living the Good News," a division of The Morehouse Publishing Group. In addition to her work as a writer and editor, Goff has been an instructor at various writing workshops and has served on the boards of several writing organizations, including the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, the International Thriller Writers, Sisters in Crime, and Mystery Writers of America.

Goff's "Bird Watcher Mysteries" series, which includes six novels, has been well-received by critics and readers alike. The series has been nominated for several awards, including the WILLA Literary Award for Best Original Paperback Fiction and the Colorado Authors' League Award for Genre Fiction. In 2002, Goff was named Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers' Writer of the Year. The series is currently published by Sharpe Books in the US and UK.

In addition to her mystery series, Goff has also written two international thrillers. "Dark Waters," the first book in the "Raisa Jordan" series, was published in 2015 and was a finalist for the 2016 Anthony Award for Best Crime Fiction Audiobook, the 2016 Colorado Book Award, and the 2016 Colorado Authors' League Award for Genre Fiction. "Red Sky," the second book in the series, was published in 2017 and was a finalist for the 2018 Colorado Book Award for Thriller. Goff's writing has been praised by authors such as Tony Hillerman, David Morrell, Lee Child, and Mark Sullivan.
