Christine Riccio was born in Livingston, New Jersey, on August 4, 1990. She has two younger siblings, a brother named Paul and a sister named Olivia. Christine's passion for reading and encouraging others to read began in the third grade and has continued to grow ever since. After completing high school, she pursued higher education and graduated from Boston University in 2012 with a degree in Film and Television. During her time at university, Christine spent a year abroad studying in London.
Christine's dedication to fostering a love for reading led her to create a YouTube channel, PolandbananasBOOKS, in 2010. Her channel has amassed an impressive following of over 430,000 book-loving subscribers. She is known for her comedic book reviews, vlogs, sketches, and writing videos, which chronicle the process of creating her novels. In addition to her individual efforts, Christine is also one of the three YouTubers behind BOOKSPLOSION. Originally from New Jersey, she currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where she continues to pursue her passions.
